Psychotherapy and counselling in a confidential, non-judgmental, secure environment.Michael adopts a humanistic approach to counselling and chooses from the many integrative methods he has learned and trained in. He will use what he feels is most appropriate for each individual client. There are many simple techniques that make the client feel relaxed and at ease which Michael can integrate to each client’s particular case. Each session becomes tailored to each person’s needs and thus is designed to help you make progress in a manner you are most comfortable with.   Sessions are normally of one hour duration. Including an initial introductory consultation it is usual to offer six sessions arranged at a time suitable to both client and therapist.At the end of that time the possibility of further appointments can then be addressed. Each session takes place in a safe, calming, private treatment room.  If you feel you are not ready to commit to further sessions this is perfectly acceptable as well. It is of utmost importance that each client feels in a safe confidential environment and that they are getting their needs met from the therapist.   Some clients opt for talk therapy only. Others prefer to start with biodynamic massage so as to become familiar with their therapist without the pressure of telling their story. Each client makes their own choice and can also choose to mix talk and massage therapy. Biodynamic massage allows the therapist to listen to the client’s body, while gently chatting about issues involved. It’s an non invasive way to break the ice into a counselling session and has fantastic merits physically, emotionally and mentally. It’s important to choose a method of Psychotherapy/ Counselling with your therapist that you are happy with in order for you to feel comfortable and Michael will look to you to name your needs and express your feelings. The goal of each session is to help the client release any negative emotion in a safe manner and to begin on a road of healing and self love through psychotherapy and counselling.
